To this end, our School aims at contributing by training professionals with a high degree of academic excellence and with a distinctive spirit of service.<\/li><li>We conceive education as the process of intellectual, emotional, and social development of students. We seek to form autonomous and critical persons, capable of identifying complex problems and competent enough to solve them working in multidisciplinary teams.<\/li><li>We consider our professors are models for students, experts in the subjects they impart, and capable of developing the ability to think about the mentioned subjects.<\/li><li>The Faculty is a venue that transmits knowledge grounded on basic and applied research. Therefore, our students will participate in research projects from early in their training.<\/li><li>We conceive our graduates as professionals with solid scientific knowledge and robust clinical skills, who think they are publicly accountable and focused on serving patients they respect in their entire human dimension.<\/li><li>The School of Medicine has a humanistic and pluralistic vision based on respect for the dignity of human persons. We aspire, therefore, to give students ethical competencies that abide by this vision and a solid formation in values such as respect for life and freedom.<\/li><li>We seek to train professionals capable of undertaking projects and conceiving novel ways to face situations in scientific and daily environments, oriented to patient\u00b4s well-being and the development of the institutions and the communities in which they interact.<\/li><li> We responsibly assume the commitment to train students consistently, as per the above-mentioned principles, so our graduates may reflect this vision in their professional work.<\/li><li>The School contributes to the scientific and professional development of our society. We understand this task as a contribution to the development of the country, whose permanent challenge is to establish timely access to quality health for all.
