Me interesa investigar sobre procesos sociales que impactan en salud poblacional, en especial desde un enfoque amplio de diversidad sociocultural y con perspectiva global. Trabajo desde 2000 en investigaci\u00f3n sobre salud de grupos sociales vulnerables y desde 2008 en salud de migrantes internacionales en Chile e Inglaterra. Realizo docencia de pre y postgrado, extensi\u00f3n, abogac\u00eda pol\u00edtica y trabajo con la comunidad en estas tem\u00e1ticas. Asesoro a servicios de salud, hospitales y centros de atenci\u00f3n primaria en el dise\u00f1o, implementaci\u00f3n y evaluaci\u00f3n de prestaciones de salud con pertinencia para grupos sociales vulnerables y diversos culturalmente.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interests<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I direct the Social Studies in Health Research Program. I am interested in investigating social processes that impact on population health, especially from a broad perspective of socio-cultural diversity and globalization. Since 2000, I conduct research on health issues among vulnerable social groups, and since 2008 on health of international migrants in Chile and England. I carry out undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, political advocacy and work with the community on these issues.
