La Dra. Sof\u00eda Salas, acad\u00e9mica del Centro de Bio\u00e9tica de la Facultad de Medicina Cl\u00ednica Alemana Universidad del Desarrollo, particip\u00f3 en el Foro Global de \u00c9tica en Investigaci\u00f3n en Salud, realizado en Ciudad del Cabo, Sud\u00e1frica, los d\u00edas 13 y 14 de noviembre.<\/p>\n

Se trat\u00f3 de un encuentro que reuni\u00f3 a m\u00e1s de 100 participantes de 36 pa\u00edses diferentes, cuyo inter\u00e9s principal son los aspectos \u00e9ticos de la investigaci\u00f3n que se desarrolla en naciones de bajos y medianos ingresos.<\/p>\n

Este a\u00f1o, la actividad tuvo como tema central los aspectos \u00e9ticos de compartir datos (\u201cdata sharing<\/em>\u201d) y biobancos en investigaci\u00f3n en salud, \u201ctema relevante para poder maximizar la utilizaci\u00f3n de los datos provenientes de investigaci\u00f3n en seres humanos, pero que tiene importantes desaf\u00edos \u00e9ticos, especialmente aquellos relacionados con lograr que estas pr\u00e1cticas de colaboraci\u00f3n sean equitativas y justas para todos los participantes\u201d, explica la Dra. Salas<\/p>\n

\"\"En este contexto, y como \u00fanica representante de Am\u00e9rica del Sur, la docente UDD particip\u00f3 en una reuni\u00f3n sat\u00e9lite del Foro realizada el d\u00eda 15 de noviembre, cuyo objetivo fue el de establecer una red de colaboraci\u00f3n a nivel global para dar una respuesta \u00e9tica para hacer frente a situaciones de emergencia sanitaria, como pueden ser brotes epid\u00e9micos (\u00c9bola, Zika), bioterrorismo o desastres naturales.<\/p>\n

Para la Dra. Salas, participar en esta actividad fue una gran oportunidad para compartir con especialistas de diversos pa\u00edses, lo que lo convirti\u00f3 no s\u00f3lo en una experiencia acad\u00e9mica, sino tambi\u00e9n en una cultural.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
