class=\"sr-only\">Siguiente<\/span><\/a><\/footer><\/div>\n<p>Un total de 225 personas asistieron al XIII Seminario Internacional de Bio\u00e9tica \u201cHacia un buen morir\u201d, evento realizado en Cl\u00ednica Alemana y organizado en conjunto con el Centro de Bio\u00e9tica del Instituto de Ciencias e Innovaci\u00f3n en Medicina (ICIM) de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad Desarrollo.<\/p>\n<p>El ser humano y la finitud de la vida; aporte de los cuidados paliativos para un buen morir; muerte m\u00e9dicamente asistida; y toma de decisiones cl\u00ednicas al final de la vida, fueron algunos de los temas tratados por los once especialistas que expusieron en el seminario.<\/p>\n<p>En este contexto, la doctora Sof\u00eda Salas, acad\u00e9mica del Centro de Bio\u00e9tica del ICIM y expositora, se\u00f1al\u00f3 la relevancia de este evento, en el sentido de poder aportar desde la UDD al debate p\u00fablico de un tema contingente, como es la muerte m\u00e9dicamente asistida, que actualmente se est\u00e1 evaluando para un proyecto de Ley.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHa quedado clara la necesidad de cuidados paliativos de excelencia, que sean universales y no solamente restringidos a los pacientes oncol\u00f3gicos, como ocurre actualmente\u201d, indic\u00f3 Salas.<\/p>\n<p>Asimismo, los especialistas participantes coincidieron en que, con este seminario se gener\u00f3 la necesidad de hablar sobre la muerte en sus respectivos hogares y que cada asistente pueda manifestarles a sus familiares, como les gustar\u00eda que fueran los cuidados al final de sus vidas.<\/p>\n<p>Entre los expositores destacan: Dra. Bego\u00f1a Rom\u00e1n, Dr. Marcial Osorio, Dr. Juan Pablo Beca, Dra. Sof\u00eda Salas, Dr. Pedro P\u00e9rez, Dr. Sergio Carvajal, Dra. Mar\u00eda In\u00e9s G\u00f3mez, Dra. Karen Goset, Dra.
