En consecuencia, la mayor\u00eda de los pacientes no tiene una estructura legal adecuada que garantice una cobertura financiera para su condici\u00f3n, vi\u00e9ndose expuestos a una situaci\u00f3n de vulnerabilidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En este contexto, un grupo de acad\u00e9micos e investigadores de la Facultad de Medicina Cl\u00ednica Alemana Universidad del Desarrollo, en conjunto con pacientes, el Ministerio de Salud, actores de la industria, cl\u00ednicos y acad\u00e9micos de distintas instituciones presentaron al Ministro de Salud, Enrique Paris, una Propuesta de Plan Nacional de Enfermedades Raras, Hu\u00e9rfanas o Poco Frecuentes, la cual es el resultado del trabajo de comisiones multisectoriales, convocadas por la Senadora Carolina Goic a comienzos de 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El documento, que consta de 237 p\u00e1ginas, aborda una revisi\u00f3n y an\u00e1lisis de los principales desaf\u00edos del sistema de salud chileno, la legislaci\u00f3n otros \u00e1mbitos del ecosistema de ER-EPOF-EH, incluyendo el rol de las agrupaciones pacientes y la investigaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cProponemos un conjunto de recomendaciones de pol\u00edticas, entre las que se incluye la creaci\u00f3n de un registro de pacientes, la obtenci\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n sobre preferencias sociales sobre cobertura sanitaria y financiera, la mejora del acceso a servicios y terapias de gen\u00e9tica cl\u00ednica y otras \u00e1reas en falencia, formaci\u00f3n de los profesionales de salud, la promoci\u00f3n de la investigaci\u00f3n en ER-EPOF-EH y el establecimiento de una red de cooperaci\u00f3n latinoamericana.
