Estudios realizados recientemente han encontrado presencia de Teneurina-II en ciertas l\u00edneas celulares de tumores y en particular, en l\u00edneas celulares de c\u00e1ncer de mama y ovario. En la actualidad, no se han realizado estudios para ver si en c\u00e1ncer sigue existiendo una relaci\u00f3n entre la expresi\u00f3n de Teneurina-II, FGF8, as\u00ed como los receptores de este factor de crecimiento. Nuestra <strong>Hip\u00f3tesis<\/strong> plantea que FGF8 y sus receptores inducir\u00e1n la expresi\u00f3n de Teneurina-II en los tipos de c\u00e1ncer que la presentan. Nuestro <strong>Objetivo<\/strong> es establecer si existe una coexpresi\u00f3n de FGF8 y sus receptores con Teneurina-II en varios tipos de c\u00e1nceres humanos. <strong>M\u00e9todos<\/strong>: Se obtuvo una muestra de adenocarcinoma prost\u00e1tico y se aisl\u00f3 el ARN del tumor prost\u00e1tico. Luego se hizo una transcripci\u00f3n reversa del mARN de todas las muestras a investigar. Por ultimo se realiz\u00f3 un PCR con su respectivo an\u00e1lisis por electroforesis en gel de agarosa y poliacrilamida. <strong>Resultados<\/strong>: Se encontr\u00f3 coexpresi\u00f3n de las tres mol\u00e9culas estudiadas en la gran mayor\u00eda de nuestros c\u00e1nceres hormono-dependientes, pero en c\u00e1ncer g\u00e1strico se vio expresi\u00f3n de FGF8 pero no de Teneurina-II. Estos datos apoyan nuestra hip\u00f3tesis para los c\u00e1nceres hormono-dependientes porque todos ellos presentan coexpresi\u00f3n de las tres mol\u00e9culas como se planteaba inicialmente. La expresi\u00f3n de FGF8 y ausencia de Teneurina-II en c\u00e1ncer g\u00e1strico sugiere que hay otros mecanismos involucrados que interferir\u00edan con la inducci\u00f3n de Teneurina-II en estos tumores.
