El MSC 2011 (Innovations in Cell-based Regenerative Therapies) fue efectuado entre el 22 y 24 de Agosto en Cleveland, Estados Unidos, el cual estuvo centrado en el intercambio y discusión de las investigaciones y avances sobre medicina regenerativa y la terapia con células madre adultas. En esa oportunidad, la Dra. Paulette Conget, Directora del Instituto de ciencias, presentó dos trabajos:

–       Ezquer M, Ezquer F, Simon V and Conget P. «Microenvironment changes but not direct differentiation associate with the prevention of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis onset observed after systemic administration of multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells into obese mice with metabolic syndrome»

–       Ezquer F, Ezquer M, Simon V, Contador D and Conget P. «Systemic administration of multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells into type I diabetic mice restores the balance between anti-inflammatory and pro-inflammatory cells, allowing the regeneration of pancreatic islets»
