The Faculty of Medicine considers Bioethics as fundamental in the training of health career students. As such, this discipline has been defined as a core element in undergraduate curricula, broadening its outreach to research and extension work. This Centre is currently working on theoretical research in the areas of clinical ethics and in the teaching of bioethics. Specific studies comprise:
- Judaism and organ transplant.
- Design and evaluation of teaching methodology in Bioethics.
- Development of capabilities for autonomous decision making (e.g. end of life, withholding/withdrawing treatment, etc…).
